Erasmus+ Mobility Programme Changes Lives
On March 31, a meeting was held with the participant of the Erasmus+ mobility programme Sofya Barseghyan. Sofia, a third-year student of the specialty ‘Professional Pedagogy’ of the Faculty of Philology and Pedagogy, studied for a semester at the University of Szczecin, Poland, as part of the Erasmus+ mobility programme, and shared her experience upon her return. During the presentation, she presented the opportunities and benefits of the programme, in particular, what is theInternational Credit Mobility (ICM) Action of Erasmus+ Programme, how much the exchange costs and how students can apply. Sofia noted that the Erasmus+ programme changes lives and broadens students’ outlook on life. She also spoke about her trips to a number of Polish and German cities, pleasant impressions received from them, new and interesting friends and encouraged students to apply for the upcoming Student Mobility Application Call.
During the meeting, Vice-Rector for Education, Research and Internationalisation of Northern University L. Fljyan presented to the participants the positive aspects of involving students in the Erasmus+ mobility programme, noting that the University cooperates with a number of prestigious universities abroad, which gives students the opportunity to participate in various mobility programmes. Vice-rector Fljyan emphasized the knowledge of foreign languages, in particular English, and noted that the administration of the University is ready to organise additional courses for students who want to improve their English language skills. Mrs Fljyan also added that the University will sign other cooperation agreements with a number of European universities in the near future, about which additional information will be provided. During the meeting, Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Pedagogy M. Ayvazyan noted that in recent years, students of their faculty have become the winners of mobility programmes, which is commendable, but at the same time, it is also desirable to have winners from other faculties. Mrs Ayvazyan added that they are doing their best to ensure that upon their return, students pass their midterm and final exams on time.
