Professor Jhuguryan made a presentation, summing up his mobility
On May 13, Professor Armen Jhugհuryan, Head of the Chair of Economics and Management, presented a report of lectures delivered at the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management of the University of Szczecin to faculty and administrative staff of Northern University within the framework of the Erasmus+ mobility programme.
At the beginning, presenting the history of the foundation of the Polish university, Professor Jhughuryan noted that on April 22-28, he delivered 4 lectures for graduate students on the topic ‘International Financial Reporting Standards’. Professor Jhugհuryan also noted that he had met with the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management to discuss new areas of cooperation between the two universities as a result of which an agreement was reached to include Northern University in the work of the Research Centre for the Promotion of Innovations of the University of Szczecin.
According to Professor Jhugհuryan, possible ways of deepening cooperation were mutually analysed and a letter of intent was signed, which involves expanding cooperation in the following areas: publishing joint articles, organising summer schools for academics and professionals and announcing grant programmes. As part of deepening cooperation, Sebastian Majewski, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Management at the University of Szczecin, will deliver public lectures at Northern University in October.
At the end of the lecture, Professor Jhugհuryan answered the questions of the participants, talking about the teaching methods of the University of Szczecin, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of the educational process. According to the lecturer, the workload on the teaching staff at the partner university is small, much attention is paid to field work, in addition, the physical presence of students in the classroom is not mandatory, instead regular consultations and practical assignments are held.
