Students are the most active force in public life
Northern University celebrated Student’s day in warm, kind and jolly atmosphere. The opening ceremony of the fest was an exhibition reflecting student’s life which was held at the Faculty of Law (thanks to the vice-president of Students’ Council Poghos Stambulyan). Posters with different titles expressed interesting events of students’ life, courageous initiatives, their exciting trip to Tbilisi. During the event, the students were greeted with sincere words of welcome by rector Boris Makichyan and the guests. The welcoming ceremony was followed by the presentation of diplomas.
It is a well known fact , that the leadership of Northern University has developed various programs to encourage students, to improve the quality of their studies, to engage them in social and scientific activities. The Institute of Nominal Scholarships also serves this purpose. Nominal Scholarships are intended for those students who are active in social life and have excellent progress. It is important to note that during the event the names of such students were announced. At the same time, those students who had come up with different initiatives, and had shown high achievement in their studies were awarded with certificates.
The event dedicated to Students' day was summed up with an interesting artistic part: song, recitation and a small theatrical performance.
