Dear students, know your rights and remember that all the students’ rights and responsibilities lead to one destination: quality, knowledge-based education.
The student has the right to:
.choose a profession, form of education, engage in research, interrupt or continue higher and post-graduate professional education at any educational level,
.get knowledge of the modern requirements of the labor market,
.attend the lectures organized at the university,
.participate in the processes ensuring the quality of teaching and evaluate the effectiveness of the activities of the teaching staff,
.combine basic professional training with second professional (parallel) training and obtain a second qualification degree,
.use the services of libraries, information repositories, educational and scientific units, laboratories, forensics cabinets, linguistic and computer classrooms, and legal clinics.
.use the services of the hall, sports hall, as well as social-household, medical, and other structural units of the university in an agreed order,
.involve and participate in the work of the university management bodies following the procedure established by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, the Charter of the university, and other legal acts,
.unite in Student Councils, Student Scientific Societies, and other student structures,
.participate in student research programs, conferences, and seminars according to the preferences held at the university,
.appeal the decisions and orders of the university management in the prescribed manner,
.get acquainted with the internal legal acts and educational documents regulating the activities of the university,
.use several privileges established by the university for the students in the prescribed manner (discounts of tuition fees, partial reimbursement of tuition fees, scholarships, etc.),
.transfer to another educational institution, including universities of foreign countries, and take advantage of international exchange programs.
The Student Council is a self-governing, inclusive, and elective body of students whose active participation can make your student life more meaningful and fascinating.

The Student Council of the Northern University is a non-political and independent body focused on student self-governance. Its main role is to protect student interests and rights while fostering their development in educational, creative, physical, and moral aspects. It also organizes recreational activities for students.
Main Goals of the Student Council:
- Protect student interests and rights.
- Raise student life issues to the university’s governing bodies.
- Ensure student participation in university governance.
- Inform students of their rights and responsibilities and increase legal awareness and civic engagement.
- Participate in organizing the educational process and improving its effectiveness.
- Involve students in public life initiatives.
- Unite student organizations and clubs to create a favorable environment for student development (scientific, cultural, creative, etc.).
- Enhance the social status of students, organizing free entertainment and recreation.
- Promote internal discipline at the university.
- Ensure a favorable educational environment for students.
