The Human resources(HR) Department is a structural subdivision of Northern University, operating in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, the charter of Northern University, decisions of the University’s governing bodies, and the Rector’s orders.

The department’s ongoing activities are managed by the Head of the Department, who is appointed and dismissed by the Rector’s order.

OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT

Development and implementation of the university’s human resources management and development strategy.

Ensuring the administrative documentation processes for the administrative, academic, scientific, educational, and support staff.

Managing personnel records and documentation of the university.

Preparing staffing, scientific, and academic-pedagogical reports.

Archiving the personal files of former employees.

Preparing and presenting drafts of orders regarding employee recruitment, dismissal, transfer, leave, and other matters for the Rector’s approval.

Maintaining personal files of employees in accordance with established procedures and ensuring the confidentiality of personal data.

Drafting and presenting employment and civil contracts for the Rector’s approval.

Drafting and presenting contracts with students related to study terms, annual tuition fees, payment procedures, collection principles, and deadlines for the Rector’s approval.

Preparing and issuing necessary certificates for employees (e.g., for work experience, pension processing, academic degrees, academic titles, childcare leave, etc.).

Submitting electronic reports to the state tax authorities monthly on matters such as employee recruitment, dismissal, position changes, unpaid leave, and childcare leave.

Submitting reports related to the university’s licensing activities to the licensing body of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.

Preparing and submitting annual statistical reports on positions, academic degrees, academic titles, and staffing status to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

Proposing recommendations to the Rector for improving the university’s personnel policies.

Participating in the development of the university’s organizational structure, staffing list, and internal regulatory acts related to the department’s activities.
