Planning, Organization, and Supervision of the Educational Process at Northern University

The planning, organization, and supervision of the educational process for undergraduate and graduate studies, both full-time and part-time, are managed by the Academic Department.

Structure and management

The Academic Department is directly subordinate to the Rector and the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

The department consists of the following units:

  • Faculties of the University / Law, Economics, Management and Informatics, Philology and Pedagogy /,
  • Center for Continuing Education,
  • Library,
  • Graduate and Internship Coordinator

Objectives of the Academic Department:

  • Ensure the effective functioning of the university’s educational process.
  • Enhance the efficiency of the educational process.
  • Directly manage the structural units of the Academic Department and coordinate the work of other units involved in the educational process.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee the educational process for undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Implement quality control for the educational process.
  • Supervise the educational and academic activities of the faculties and departments of the university.

Functions of the Academic Department:

  • Organize and monitor the development and implementation of educational plans for undergraduate and graduate programs (both full-time and part-time).
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of semester course schedules by faculty deans.
  • Supervise the organization and execution of student internships at the university.
  • Coordinate the academic process in collaboration with faculty deans and departments.
  • Organize and implement comprehensive measures aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of teaching.
