Foreign applicant
The organization of education for foreign citizens at Northern University is carried out in accordance with the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia dated March 3, 2017, No. 224-A/gh, granting “Northern University” LLC permission to provide education to foreign citizens in a foreign language (English) under Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in the following specialties:
Bachelor’s Degree Programs
- Economics
- Management
- Software Engineering
Master’s Degree Programs
- Management
The admission of foreign citizens is carried out in accordance with the procedure approved by the Decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia on the admission of foreign citizens to higher education institutions of the Republic of Armenia .
For additional information regarding tuition fees, admission deadlines, and organization of studies, applicants may contact the Admissions Committee of Northern University or the department responsible for foreign students’ admissions. For students admitted to Northern University, instruction may be organized in Armenian or English.
Required Documents
- Notarized translation of passport, birth certificate, or baptism certificate
- Copy of graduation diploma with transcript (grades), translated and notarized; for certain countries, international legalization (apostille) is also required
- Medical certificate on general health condition (may also be issued by medical institutions of the Republic of Armenia)
- 6 photos (3×4 cm)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in Armenian, English, or Russian
- Completed application form (may be filled in upon submission of documents or downloaded from the Ministry’s website)
- Application addressed to the Minister of Education of the Republic of Armenia (completed when submitting documents to the Ministry)

Foreign students admitted to Northern University must apply for residence status in the Republic of Armenia through the university unit responsible for foreign student admissions, submitting the following documents:
- Notarized translation of passport, birth certificate, or baptism certificate
- Medical certificate on general health condition (may also be issued by medical institutions of the Republic of Armenia)
- 6 photos (3×4 cm)
- Application form (completed at the University)
- Copy of visa

- Public transport fare: 150 AMD (≈ $0.5)
- Taxi: 100 AMD per 1 km
- Average daily food cost: $10–20
- Student cafeterias operate at the University.
Health and Insurance
Students are required to arrange their own health insurance coverage individually.
