Conferences


At Northern University, numerous inter-university and international conferences have been organized and held, dedicated to important scientific and social issues, as well as key challenges facing higher education today.

Recent Events

On May 12, 2023, an inter-university student workshop titled “Tumanyan Through the Eyes of Students” was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the death of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan. The event took place at Tumanyan’s house museum and was initiated by Northern University. It brought together the university’s rector Raya Janinyan, faculty members, and students from Northern University and the Armenian State Pedagogical University. The director of the Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum, Ani Yeghiazaryan, highlighted the deep respect and admiration that Northern University has long shown toward the great poet, noting the strong Tumanyan traditions formed there over decades. The workshop opened beautifully with a performance of the “Anush” aria by Honored Artist of Armenia Magda Mkrtchyan. The day was fully immersed in Tumanyan’s world, his timeless spirit reflected in student works presented within the walls of his museum. It was a meaningful tribute to his enduring message: “I am always with you, within you.”
