Within the framework of the Erasmus+ Capacity-Building in Higher Education project “Sustainability and Internationalization Capacities to Promote the Modernization of Newcomers’ Higher Education in Neighbourhood East Countries (SIN-NEC)”, an online micro-credential course designed for university lecturers was launched on March 16, 2026.

The course is implemented within the framework of WP4 of the SIN-NEC project and aims to develop higher education teachers’ competences in the application of Artificial Intelligence tools, digital education, and contemporary pedagogical approaches.

The course, entitled “The Application of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Teaching English for Specific Purposes in the Context of Sustainable Development,” provides participants with an opportunity to explore various Artificial Intelligence tools and their potential applications in the teaching, learning, and assessment of English for Specific Purposes (ESP).

Particular attention is given to the principles of sustainable development, the ethical and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, and the alignment of education with current labour market requirements.

The course includes interactive lectures and practical sessions, contributing to the development of participants’ digital, pedagogical, and professional competences.

👩‍🏫 The course is delivered by:

✔️ Lusine Fljyan, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Education, Research and Internationalization at Northern University;

✔️ Arusyak Ivanyan, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor, Head of the International Relations Department at Northern University;

✔️ Ani Tamazyan, PhD in Philology, Head of the Department of Languages, Communication and Pedagogy at Eurasia International University.

🎓 Upon completion of the course, participants will receive certificates equivalent to 3 ECTS credits. The language of instruction is English, which contributes to the internationalization of higher education and supports the development of lecturers’ international and virtual collaboration competences.
